a quick question about setting up an audio interface.

I know it's little off the topic,
but I would really appreciate it if anyone can answer these quick questions for me.

1. When you use your audio interface and the monitors as your computer's primary system. Do you put them on all the time? I'm currently using my audio interface and the monitors to listen and watch music and movies. (and I always put them on whenever my computer is on.) Is this a right thing to do?
or is there a specific thing that you need to keep in mind to well manage your audio interface?

2. What's the order for setting up a condenser mic?
Do you turn your phatom power first and then plug your mic input in?
or do you have to set your input first and turn your phantom power on?
or does it really matter either way?
I am barely starting...so I need some help please...
I will thank in advance!!! :)

    1.  If you don't turn on your monitors then you'll not hear anything...

    2. It doesn't realy matter, you'll not hurt the mic.  BUT keep the input gain for the channel turned down or the monitor volume turned low to prevent 'pops' from taking out your speakers.
