about to upgrade - what to manually install?

I am about to purchase the Platinum upgrade, which I have been putting off in hope that the Command Center will be upgraded to accommodate selective location installation. Apparently this has not happened. So, I will be manually installing (offline) without using Command Center.

What in the download will I have to manually execute to install the different parts of this upgrade?

Thanks to anyone who will take the time to provide an answer which will likely need to be detailed and lengthy.

Are you planning on installing the actual program to a nonsystem drive (IOW, the contents of "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR Platinum") or just the plug-ins and content?

    Is X3 Producer already installed?

I plan to install the program in c:\music software, with the plugins installed into c:\music software\Cakewalk\VSTplugins (or VSTplugins64) . I plan to install the content on my D drive (programs & patches) and samples on my e drive.

X3 Producer is already installed, using these same locations.

Because SONAR is installed in a non-standard system drive path, the Command Center is not an option (although with the appropriate directory junctions it still may be possible). FWIW, this will make it difficult to determine when updates are available. Since X3 is installed, the only installers necessary for Platinum are "SONAR Platinum", "Anderton FX Chain Collection" and "SONAR Help and Tutorials."
