This song really has a Radiohead vibe.  Even your vocal has a Thom Yorke discordant feel.  I give you credit for playing up to your influences; I certainly copied the writing styles of the Beatles and Neil Young many times.  There's nothing to fault with your simple arrangement of voice and guitar.  They are mixed well together.  However, your lead vocal meanders a bit in pitch and timing.  Turn the screws on that, and you may be good to go.  I like people that do the unexpected, and you've certainly done that.

    All the best,
    Lynn

    Hi Lynn
Thank you,yes it does have a radiohead influence !!Thats good you think the arrangment work, yep it is simple, but I am pleased with it as the middle rocky bit gives it some dynamics and edge.I hear the vocals too need some work;I should practise with the autotune as most times my vox end up with the Cher effect haha :) Thanks for your post,

I love the mood of this song, it's hot. It sounds like you may have reverb on the bass, don't think the reverb is needed  on the bass at all

Reverb on the guitar's bass strings u mean ? I couldnt notice it !! I'll listen again, maybe splitting the highs and lows, and sending just the highs to the reverb would work.Glad u liked the tune anyway :)

Yes I thought the bass had a bit to much reverb and the higher notes didn't have enough. Not sure if it would be better if you played the bass note a octive higher, you may loss that cool bass radiohead sound. however it may work, don't know for sure

I like the feel/vibe/overall sound, but I think the breath sounds are a bit too loud and I think it would sound better if you brought them down a bit.

    Hey Kev
Really like the simple arrangement and the emotion in your vocals. If I had to nit, I'm with PAULO.  Your breath sounds are loud.  GREAT live vibe and performance. KUDOS!

Yes they arer a bit loud,I think its because I compressed the hell out of the vocal :) I'll try some fades that might do the job ,thks for listening and glad u dug the vibe !

Very interesting song.  Really well performed.  I'm on the fence on the breath sounds.  Interesting guitar work.  I really liked it.  Overall I really liked the song, performance and production.  The vocal on the low notes at the end was very cool.

edit;  ok well, one crit that isn't mentioned above:  I can hear your metronome, especially at the very end.

Ah yep that pesty metronome !!! Is this because I didnt record the guitar with enough gain ? It seems to be a common problem for, particulary when the dynamics of a track are quiet :( Glad u liked the overal track anyway, tks for dropping by and listening !

well, not sure - it depends on how you recorded it.  were you listening to the metronome on headphones?  were they closed back?  or was the metronome in the room with you and the guitar?  or what?

Very cool. I think it would be a lot more enjoyable if you brought all your loud breaths down with automation. Actually, it's kind of odd you don't hear that.
