alesis multimix 16 panning

My vocal tracks always pan to the left on playback.  What am I doing wrong?

    Sounds like you are recording to the left channel only. I used to have a multimix so I know it will work. Make sure that you don't have the channel on the multimix panned fully left while recording.
     
    When you play back, I'm assuming that the track is centre panned? If so is it just the left side of the meter responding?
