"always copy imported audio files" - in preferences/audio data

Is there a way to select this only for individual projects, rather than globally?
In other words, after I import an old project into Sonar, is there a way to add more clips to it from other sources? I keep "always copy imported audio files" unchecked to save space.
Thanks.

If you "Always copy ..." checked in preferences, you can use File>Import instead of media browser to get access to override the copy behavior ... uncheck "Copy audio ..."
