amplitube

On my mc5, I have amplitube that came with it. I went looking for information on it to learn how to use it.
I saw when I got there that they had a whole lot more on them than what I had, so I emailed the company and asked about all the extra pedals, they said that what came with mc5 was a sample and sent me a link to buy the actual software. That was amazingly expensive, way more than I can afford. Is there any way you can add your own effects or something?
While I'm on that question, my Casio 2100 has some nice stuff, but there's a few things I wished it had. Is there a way to create your on sounds with the midi? Like using your own voice?
It has like an "ahh" sample, but doesn't sound very full, like a "choir" sound.
I know it's off the subject a bit, but I have to ask.

I don't use Amplitude..... but it's a half way decent guitar amp modeler. It works best with a clean guitar signal sent in. It works with audio from the guitar not midi. Could you send a voice through it...sure could.
If you're looking for a choir... you'll need something like Kontakt4. It's midi but it had a nice choir sample.

There are a lot of audio effects you can download, some are free. They'll work in any audio track whether it's guitar, piano or voice.
Have you explored MC 5's audio effects? Is there a particular effect you want?
In your list of VST and DX effects under 'Insert', do you have Drop Zone?

How to insert a soft synth. Click the 'Insert' button at the top. A list of your installed soft synths should appear. I forgot if MC 5 has the Drop Zone sampler/sample player.
If it has Drop Zone, you can load an audio clip in it, like your voice, and play it with your MIDI keyboard.

It's worth it to read the manual and do the tutorials so you don't need to go "wwwhhhattt" about the most basic things.

At kvraudio.com you can find LOTS of VSTs, free and commercial, and at tweakheadz.com you can read guides about everything DAW-work related, like what effects of different names actually do and are used for etc.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

I did read the manual I got with it, I did not read it while sitting in front of the program, maybe that would help.
As far as the tutorials, I didn't get tons out of those. I did watch them, but they did not answer the questions I am having. Do you know of others I do not?

How is adding your voice to a sample "the most basic things"? Makes me feel a bit stupid, but I don't see that one.

Hey guys I just thought I would let you know, in my quest to change my sound with no money I found 'acmebargig', it was FREE and it is really nice!!
I am very happy with it. Between the cakewalk effects, the few amplitube, and the acmebargig you can get just about any sound you can imagine.
It took a little work to get it going, but it was well worth it.
