[answered] A few Take Lanes Questions

- Is there a 'Move' function that locks the clip's start time to move clip to any other lane? I have have the hardest time trying to keep the start time of the clip 'locked' when use the mouse to drag and drop, I always have to go to clip properties to fix the start time.
- Once the clip moved to another lane, I can no longer edit the clip's gain automation (it was already created in its original lane) .  if there's an original tracked clip, that automation works but not the clip that got moved into that lane.  Is there a way to work this?
- Is there a shortcut to switch between the clip and the automation? I use the gain envelope a lot and I've found that I need to go back and forth quite often to crop, fade, mute, split, etc.
- What is the largest height for a take lane and is there a button to expand it to the max height for detail editing purpose? It would be nice if you can click a section of the Track's and the actual clip would be in focus in a view (like the loop view) so you don't have to hunt to see where and which take lane it's in.  I typically ended up with a lot of take lanes.

Hold the Shift key while dragging.

Not that I know of. Once you move a clip out of its lane, any automation changes created in that lane become fixed.

If you shift-click on a clip envelope, the Take Lane Edit filter changes to that envelope. If you shift-click on the clip, the Take Lane Edit filter change to Clips.

There's also a useful shortcut for tracks - shift/right-click to toggle between the last two edit filter options.

However far you can drag the bottom splitter bar is as far as it will go.

Close the take lanes, clip envelops should be accessible in the track
