Not seeing it. What's the name of the subforum you're seeing?

hey bit, looks like someone caught it as it's gone now, but it was something like (i'm paraphrasing) "beta forums" with children "sonar beta", "sonar osx beta", "beta offtopic"... at the bottom of the dropdown at the top of the forum, it appeared and disappeared a week or so ago too

Oh, no.
I hope they don't go to a software that needs fast internet and the latest browsers.
Happening more and more. Some shops I can't even access anymore.

Any time you make a change to a web page, it's necessarily a two-step process: make the edit, then set the rules. You probably just happened to refresh the page in between those steps.

If you really want the thread deleted, let me know.

I've seen it before too. And then poof, it's gone. Hard to reproduce on demand.

OMG Cakewalk uses the same POS software for customer facing and internal uses. SFW. As if the hosts can do anything about it.

Get over it.

Now if you can provide an ETA for my hovercraft let me know.

if your zipper were "flying low" you'd want to know wouldn't you?

but seriously, forum accounts are associated with product accounts, so if someone is messing about with permissions on the forum and exposes what should be restricted areas then it is a potential security risk

and fwiw, i didn't know that hosts can't do anything about it, so i won't mention it again

It is not news the forum software occasionally exposes the structure of non-public parts.

To suggest that user accounts are in someway compromised by this is a stretch. If you have evidence of accounts being compromised do not hesitate letting Cakewalk know about it by emailing the details to support, PMing a staff member or a host.
