audio engine turns off whenever press stop on transport

Hi,

I don't know if I changed a setting or something not knowing it, but now the audio engine turns off whenever I hit stop and
only turns on when I hit play.  So to audition software instruments I have to constantly press the little audio engine button near
the transport display.

anyone know if there is a way to switch it so audio engine stays on always?

    Yes, check that audio option (something like) "allow efx trails to....". That did it for me.

    I love this forum. I suddenly started getting audio engine off on stop.

    I can't remember changing this setting, maybe it got reset when I installed the C update, but it fixed this problem for me. Fantastic thanks.
