automap 4.6/impulse and sonar X2

I'm pretty new to automap and hadn't set it up with sonar. I can't get it to work right. The mutes/solos work, stop, start record work the shiftnowtime works. But only instrument tracks work with volume. Audio tracks, master, though allegedly mapped, don't function. Any insight on what I could be doing wrong? With S1 and Live there is a function that comes up to walk you through both of those. Can't seem to get that with sonar so I'm kinda lost. EDIT: Ok, now the volumes work so I'm on the right track
