automation not working

OK I'm stuck...

I was able to automate my volumes fine and create envelopes, but all of a sudden on one project, no matter what I do I can't get the automation record button to light up.

I can arm track faders on the console for automation but the record button never lights up.

I opened the automation controls and automation is enabled.

I also switched to another project. Armed the fader and the automation record button lit up right away.

Any suggestions...

    OK I figured it out...

    The record button was pressed on a hidden track.

    Maybe this can help someone else.
