backing up files - whats the best scheme?

Hey All,

If my workflow is per project folders/ no BUN files

I want to set an automatic backup of my entire DAW and (D: drive)

What is the best case working scenario for not destroying my Sonar song files?

Over-writing the Audio folders ???????  what could go wrong?

Tell us your stories of what does and does not work if you have one.

I have 3 tb of data.

Thanks,
EOE

EDIT; i just say you wanted to do auto saves. I think manually is the best way. This way you know when and what your saving.

Get 2 external hard drives and you can either copy and drag each project onto the new hard drives or you can open the project and do a save as.
Take one of the hard drives and keep it off site and take it to the studio every week or so to keep it up to date.
This way you always have at least 3 copies of each project.

Or you can get 1 external hard drive and some dvd's to keep off site.
What ever works for ya, is what you do.
