bad templates in home studio 2004

bad templates in home studio 2004

Does no one have problems with home studio 2004 xp templates? i installed it several times (contacted cakewalk by mail...). no effect. every time i want to use a template (i.e. "jazz quintett"), i get the message "no cakewalk file format". this is a big bug

i use the german version... anybody helpful in the forum ? ...please

    Works for me. Do you have Home Studio pointing to the right folder? Options-Global-Folders. Make sure the template files are located in that folder.

    i checked it and i'm sure, they are in the right folder. a doubleclick on the files (*.cwt) is with the same bad result. ALL *.cwt-files can not be read by my cakewalk-installation. i fear, it's a problem of the german version...

    What happens if you start HS, select File/New, and pick the template from the list?

    if i do this, the error occurs as described above. the same happens, if i make a doubleclick on the template-file (*.cwt)

    i downloaded three revised templates from this site (*.tpl), they work fine (but there were only this 3 ones) ;-(

    i am now in contact with a support manager, hope he can help me.

    In Windows-Explorer - go to Tools-Folder Options-File Type and check tro see if you have CWT registered to some other program.

    I got some help from support by mail (Zipfile with templates)

    now they work fine.
