best latency settings??

hello again...ok we talked about popping noise and sound interruptions whjen play back a tune with hs7...
ok i had this problem since day one ...here my problem...i like to play some of this sounds with my keyboard but even in stand alone am getting the problem ...popping sound... cut the whole nine  ..if i set the latency with play back  delay i don't get that problem...so what can i do to have a sound on time with out popping ....??i setted my sound card to asio

    the duo capture should have decent low latency drivers.  so let's look at some other things and we'll assume for now that the drivers are not the problem.

    first, you're on a laptop.  do you have a webcam on it?  how about a wireless radio for internet?  disable both of those.

    next, try running the DPC Latency checker.  laptops are notorious for having high DPC latency.  google it, install it, run it and check the results.

    next - what speed is your hard drive?  off the shelf laptops normally have 5400rpm hard drives in them to save power.  if you're using only the 1 hard drive and especially if it's a 5400 rpm, that could also cause popping/stuttering and dropout.  you might need to get an external 7200rpm hard drive for your audio projects.
