best mp3 source?

What it the best way to buy single songs? .mp3?
I have demoed Rhapsody but am not sure if that is the way to go.
Or could you suggest sites that I can get songs with out loading software?
I work with a band that often asking me to learn old tunes.
It would be nice buy a song or CD without security issues or copywright guilt.

    No responses?
Ok, I guess it is a Noob question.
I truly am new at downloading mp3's
I guess sites like amazon.com are the best choice?
I do not think I like the moral and security issues with sites like Limewire.
I do not want to pay for the Rapsody type software.

    Are there other options?

I buy from Amazon. No DRM, just simple 256kbps MP3 files. In order to download after purchase at Amazon you must install Amazon's Downloader app, but it's just a browser plugin and should do this automatically. I've never had any problems with it.

You can use me as your eSoundz referral (altima_boy_2001).

Where you should shop really depends on your interests.

I used to belong to EMusic. They've a great jazz collection. Apple's site has new pop music, but I'll bet you know that.

I used emusic for awhile.... not a big selection of stuff at the time...lots of off the wall artists you never heard of.... Itunes has a huge selection ...probably the best for what you're doing.

I like Rhapsody, but I don't buy many songs from them. Instead, for $14.95 a month I can listen to almost everything they have on their site as often as I want. (There's a small percentage of songs that are only available for purchase.) I can listen on up to three computers or on any of our TiVos. Plus, I can download as many songs/albums/channels to up to three compatible MP3 players. As long as you refresh the players at least once every 30 days, the songs will remain licensed.

To me it's a perfect arrangement. I can listen to songs on a whim without having to pay to own something that I may never listen to again. As long as I remain a member, I basically get unlimited music in a variety of listening modes for a very reasonable monthly payment and it's all nice and legal. Couldn't be happier!
