best way to set up sampletank 2 as multitimbral instrument?

I've been messing around with this for awhile - for the life of me, I can't seem to understand this. Can some one take me through step by step how to set sampletank such that I have 16 midi channels with stereo channels associated with them? Cheers

Set your output from each MIDI track to Sampletank then you need to set the channel of each MIDI track sequentially. That means 1, 2, 3, 4, 5  and so on until 10 that is for drum tracks normally 11 12 and so on are normally instruments like  the same as 1, 2, 3, 4. These channels should correspond to the MIDI channels with Sampletank.  So each channel is a different instrument.

I never used Sampletank but if it has multiple instruments meaning polyphonic it should work like that.

To add to what John has said:

SampleTank can be configured with up to 32 individual outputs.
IOW, you can have a stereo output for each of those 16 patches (corresponding to the 16 MIDI channels).
    Convenient for mixing...

I opened SampleTank standalone yesterday to play it from my iPad via wifi but could not find the MIDI input menu. Can someone point me in the right direction?

The non-obvious trick to routing voices in SampleTank is the "OUT" column.

Place your mouse over it and drag up and down to select the output channel pair for each voice. SampleTank has 16 stereo outputs, so each voice can be routed to its own stereo (or mono) audio track.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
