cakewalk Sound Centre

Hi

I've loaded some some extra instruments Cakewalk Sound Center: Orchestral Strings Expansion Pack by DSF and the Steinberg expanion pack and run the instalaltion programme to install them in the vstplugins folder but they dont appear when i re run cakewalk Sound center. I'm using music creator 5, any ideas. I've rebooted a couple of times but still nothing.

Cheers

After loading them in the VST folder, did you tell the Plug-in Manager to scan for new VSTs?
The scanner is on by default, but most of us turn it off to speed up loading of the program.

If you installed from the disk you need an upgrade, probably also if you bought it as a DL.... IIRC the upgraded version is 5.0.1.6... ( don't quote me on that number)

Be sure you get the FREE UPDATE for MC5 from the website. Some of the newer sound expansion packs require the update since it is also an update to the sound center as well. Plus, cake throws in a few new instruments in that upgrade.

    Glad to hear it....

they had a few glitches apparently with the code in some of the sound packs they just released, and it took a few days for them to resolve those issues.

Upgrading on my end, and fixing the bugs on Cake's end, solved it for me as well.
