cakewalk audio pro 9 help please

im useing cakewalk audio pro 9
my computer is fast enough 4 gig memory etc
when i play a midi file it stutters and skips it has just started doing this
i have even cleand my computer formatted my disc reloaded my os
and it is still doing it
any help please

    Hi,
     
    Is the problem happening with more than one midi file?  What about an audio file?
     
    Did anything change recently with your computer system?
     
    It would help to give the basic specs like the O.S. and you sound card/audio interface (See my sig for an example).
