SSD? there is no SSD that actually hits stated numbers including the new Crucial 300. in fact 285 was about it with that drive and the Mushkin did 275. (reads)
the Mushkin did better on writes. (yes i know what the review sites say)
as far as raid it takes an 8 drive raid array to finally see the advantage of sata 600 and that also requires an expensive controller.
