can cakewalk sonar files be opened in LE?

    Do you mean: Can Sonar files be opened in Music Creator? AFAIK, yes. Of course, there can be lots of VSTs that SONAR has but MC does not have or vice versa.

    SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

    Same file format.  You will get a warning that it was created by a different version, but the file will load.  It may not have the same VSTs though and may take a bit of adjusting to work with the add-ins that you have.  No problems going the other way.

    I've been able to open Sonar 8.5 files in MC6 but, I can't get MC6 files to open in Sonar 8.5.

    Most things here are forward and backward compatible..... however, that may be changing with the newer DAW's

    So far all my stuff  opens projects no matter where they are made.  I do get warnings and if a plug is missing, it lets me know.
