can't drag fx chains into fx bin

I used to be able to drag fx chain presets from the browser to the fx bin in sonar x1d expanded. Today, I can't.

I can right click in the bin and choose load fx chain preset and select the chain I want.

I'm thinking maybe file association has been changed? When I right click in the browser and choose properties I see the opens with = Windows shell com...

Any thoughts? not sure how I messed it up or how to fix it. I get the + sign as I drag over the wave forms but when I drag over the fx bin, my mouse pointer gets the do not enter symbol.

Yeah, it was working for me. I'm using Sonar x64. I don't drag them in every day, so I'm not sure when it stopped working. I am a programmer. When you right click on the item in the browser, what is the file association?

Thanks for answering at all, BTW.

yes, that's what it shows for me too. Thanks for looking. I guess I'll just wait for an upgrade. I don't know how it has become broken.

I will bet you're trying to drag them in from a folder in the Browser. They can only be dragged in from the plugin menu. They show up in the very bottom in the FX CHain sub-menu. Try that.

Seth, thank you so much for this answer. The light has dawned. I have been trying to drag from the media tab in the browser and it hasn't been working.

I worked around by right clicking the fx bin and choosing load fx chain preset.

Now, I know I can just click the plugins tab in the browser... those I can drag in.

Thanks!! haha I've been broken since May 10th haha. Loose nut behind the keyboard. :-)
