cant find midi track controls

Im a new Sonar X1 Essential user. I have used various cakewalks, Home studio etc for years.
and have just upgraded to X1 Essential.
On my midi tracks I can not seee the controls to set   midi channel, bank , voice number etc.
to be able to set them.
From the help menu it says to vertical expand out the track to be able to see these 
I am expanded out as far as possible but there are no controls to set midi ch, bank,voice number etc.
I have the midi instruments set up ok... so they  should be viewable
I can see  track name, M S rec buttons, input echo on/off button
and on the next line   clips/notes/automation menu, automation Read, write, asterisk and A button
Thats all.... no controls to set how this track will connect to the midi module

    I haven't used essential but I assume it's similar.  With your midi track highlighted hit I and that should bring up the inspector which will allow you to set all these.   It should also be on the track in the console view

    well , sure enough  I brings up a window where I can set it.
    thanks for the tip.
    but it still does not show in the normal track window. which is where I really want to be able to set it.
    I think in my experiementing... at some stage I saw it there.. but I can not access it there any more

    What syko said, and this might help.

    Each MIDI track header has certain info like the name, etc.  You can control what you see here with the Track Control, and that is at the top of the Track pane, just below the Track pane menu headings - It's a text box with a down arrow.  Press the arrow and select "all".  That should show you what you are looking for in the track headers.  Try other selections, and you can make your own.  Also you can, to some extent, rearrange these items to you liking.  Check help.   In previous versions, this stuff was called "widgets".
