can't get audio snap to enable

so i just recorded a bit of audio and turned it into a groove clip, real basic percussive string hits and a drum. For some reason I can't get the transients to show up or the audio snap to enable. Can anyone give me some help, maybe even just walk me through the right way to do it in case i'm missing something. I've already consulted sonar x1 power.

Audiosnap & groove clips are mutually exclusive. i.e. You can't use audiosnap on them. You need to turn off the groove looping first.

THANK YOU!!! omg i was wracking my brain trying to figure it all out. I need to read through the manual and read sonar x1 power cover to cover instead of just consulting it. Then I would likely know this stuff. I have another question that you may be able to help with but it will become a new topic.
