casio LK90 USB out to cakewalk creator pro 24 help


I hooked it all up. selected the driver in cakewalk for midi out and in.
The software will play music from the PC to the keyboard speakers, but not from the casio keys to the cakewalk softwalk. the sofwaer appearantly sees NOT the keyboard coming IN just out. Hopeless? Not a realtime function?
I just want to try chords (learning) on the casio and have the notation recorded on staff by the software. I inserted a new staff, armed it hit record and fingered the casio. NOPE! and the little guy in the system tray only has a red left eye, not right. Meaning he sees out but not in, i think. Mean anything to anyone? Thanks, John

    you probably don't have the MIDI routed to anything in MC. Do tutorial #8 and it will explain to you how to use a DXi Synth. then instead of sending the MIDI output to the keyboard, you send it to the DXi Synth and it will send that sound out to the sound card.

    Make sure each MIDI track has an input and channel assigned. Try MIDI Omni as the input, and for simplicity's sake, assign the channel the same number as the track.
