cd-rw

Maybe I've asked this before, or maybe it has been addressed here before, but I am wondering what the trick is to getting cd-rw's to play back on other equipment. I can play my recorded cd-rw's on the computer or on a dvd player, but not in the car or boom box or other type of machine. I know this is not a problem for me only, and I have seen it asked on other sites, but never have I seen an answer to the "how do I get it to work". Any hints, referrals to other sites, etc?
Thanx again, I know if there is an answer, this is the place to find it.

Most audio CD players don't support CD-RW technology. You need to burn to a CD-R to play in an audio player. It has something to do with the differences in writing the Table of Contents in CD-R and CD-RW discs.

When you export your audio make sure you are mixing down to a .wav or a .wma, or a MP3 file

You will get the best sound quality from a .wav file.

burning in wma or Mp3 is a waste, since the burning software will convert it back to a wave file unless you specify the others and then they will not play in anything but a computer, or a player that specifically plays MP3, also when it converts back to wave you do not restore the lost value from the compression
