changing default meters
Hi. I want to change all my meter readouts to -24db instead of the default -42. I normally do it manually, but I've noticed that even with saving the project - after Nov update - they appear to back to the default. Maybe Lenses are resetting? Thanks

Saving into a locked Screenset? What happens if you change them in your templates?

Well, the template I use has come from a basic one with just the initial one midi and audio track, saved a long time ago. I've just added various vst's to it, synths etc, which I go to when I'm building a song. After this last update though, the meter db readout reverts to -42dB, which I again have to reset manually for each one and which then hold for the life of that session. Is there a way to adjust them all at once?

This is the "kind" reply… I just recording some tracks on system 1 with Splat rolled back to 2016 9… All meters set to -90db where I always want them… I like to see the ground noise so I can track it down and remove it. Like a “real” studio! anyway, I Created a CWB from system 1 and moved it to system 2 with splat 2016 11 for mixing. All my meters reset to -60db… Really? Sorry Mr. Jagger, it will be just a minute as I need to reset all my meters! AND turn off all some automated default features! I will not charge you for the time I'm wasting!

I had this issue a few years ago. The kind reply I was given is: In Track View go to: Options > Meter Options > Record Meter Options Options > Meter Options > Playback Meter Options Options > Meter Options > Bus Meter Options OR In Console View go to: Options > Meters > Record Meter Options Options > Meters > Playback Meter Options Options > Meters > Bus Meter Options Options > Meters > Mains Meter Options [Edit] Then save the project. This action sets them as default and should stay without locking any screensets. Even so I think X3 had an issue once where they wouldn't stay put. They have to be set individually so it can be tedious. There is a feature request HERE to consolidate them into one window so they can be all set at once. Cast your vote today!

This is my 'kind' response. lol. Thanks for the info. I haven't run into this issue before as when I set them and save the project, they used to 'stick'. Not so now. Didn't get 'trick to turn off the 'r' forever? Thanks...I get on the vote. Cheers

I forgot to mention that you may need to save the project after setting the meters or they may not stay.

You can Quick Group meter settings independently for Track, Console, and Master meters (right-click on the meters). Save, and whatever you chose will return when you open the project.

Thanks Craig. Normally right clicking is all that's needed. But X3 broke that routine thus needing to set them thru the menu. It was eventually fixed (I just verified in X3) but as per the OP Splat may have reintroduced the bug. At the moment I don't have Splat.11 up and running so can't verify that for sure.

I did the right-click Quick Grouping with the latest version of Splat, didn't need to use the menus.
