This is a good start for something.  If it's going to be an instrumental you need another movement or two to sustain interest.  The beat itself is not very dynamic, so I would start there to beef it up.  What is your goal?  Dance, listening?  I would consider this piece to be a small part of something bigger.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Agree with Lynn on the 'beef up' idea. IMO the kick and snare need to be commanding this piece. Switch it all around and have the piano sit further back in the mix. You could even sidechain the kick and the piano so the piano ducks out. Make the kick huge - then you've got a beat.

Also - change the snare to a clap patch and give it some spacey reverb and lick of paint in the highs.

Kick and clap should occupy similar sized areas in the mix. Both large.

I'd be interested to hear the changes you make.

    is it worth working on???

Of course, it sounds really good so far. I'd like to hear you develop one of these ideas into a full track with plenty of variation.

    is it too slow???

    Only you can answer that.
