is there a way for me to set my vocal recorded chorus to repeat every 16 bars. for example my beat starts out I laid my chorus and now I would like to repeat my chorus so i can line up my verse to be in the 16 bars making everything on beat.

Interesting! I will have to give that a try. Is it 64 bit or will I have to use Bitbridge.

Page 338 of the resource guide explains the paste dialogue box, which, among other things, allows you to determine how many repetions of a clip you want where on a track, and if you want to link them, etc...

    Hope this helps.

It sounds like you're looking for some kind of "Band In A Box" type software.

There is every way you can have your chorus play every 16 bars in Sonar. You just select the chorus by right-click-dragging across it, then hold down CTRL and click-drag the whole thing across to the next 16 bars. Do this as many times as you like.

    COPY your clip

Edit > Paste Special > Select number of repetitions, select track number, select replace old with new, finally, choose the time interval you want OR align to measures

If you get it wrong first time, ctrl + z to undo, change whatever is necessary and try again

Or, hire an assistant and say "Assistant, repeat that chorus every sixteen bars if you will."

    Sorry

LOL...wow...man, you need to read the manuall first, as it sounds like you are very new to DAW's...what you are wanting to do can EASILY be done several different ways...go though Sonar University and check out the bazillion numbers of vids on Youtube...best of luck.

Copy the 16 bar clip (make sure you copy all 16 bars) then paste special it selecting the number of repetitions you want want and it will repeat it every 16 bars until the cows come home or as someone else suggested, select the 16 bar clip, right click, select Groove Clip looping, and now you have a Groove Clip that you can drag out as far as you like. Its easy.
