Interesting... It really sounds just like what I hear on the radio when they play this genera, so I'd have to say really good job with the writing, production, performance and recording.

Charlie - you are very good at this genre! and for a newbie you're mixing really well for your genre. I'm really impressed with your mixing. remind me - is this just you or your band? how did you record each instrument? individually or all at the same time? what about the drums? really great work, Charlie! this is not really what I listen to, so I"m not an expert on the genre, but it sounds really close to commercial to me.

I'm really impressed with your mixing. remind me - is this just you or your band? how did you record each instrument? individually or all at the same time? what about the drums? really great work, Charlie! this is not really what I listen to, so I"m not an expert on the genre, but it sounds really close to commercial to me. beagle always very high praise when it comes from you..thanks alot..heres what i do..i have a band that i play with but dont do much recording with them.i write my own songs,i record all my own instruments one at a time in a over dub fashion..always staring with the drums.i not a great drummer but i did learn how to read and write most forms of music (including drums)from a man who taught at berkley school of music in boston(this is where im from)i took lessons from when i was 10 till i was about 20. so my drums arent just the patterns that come with session drummer 3..there drum parts ive wrote out and placed in the piano roll.each drum goes out to a seperate track.this way i can put notch filters in each drum to really beef it up. im a bass/lead vpcal in my band so i use a bass amp to record..thats an ampeg. im also a lead guitarist by trade.i play a les paul/telecaster/strat and sometimes my first guitar(a hollow body harmony) key is for vocal..with me it starts with a mic..and for me its a rode nt 1000. i mix and master here at my studio..just keep in mind..i wouldnt sound as good as i do(and not saying im great)if it werent for alot of help by you mr beags along the way. thank you kindly for everyone for the nice words.

Hi Charlie. Guitars are fantastic. Vox are killer. Nice job with the phrasing and the reverb is perfect. Really great mix. sounds powerful and clear kranked. Solo fits the song like a glove and and I love how it pounds out. Very tight tune.

Thanks for sharing Charlie. I thought this was exactly what I expected to hear, so that's good that my ears aren't too far off! since your drums are Session Drummer, one suggestion I have is that you consider something a little better for drum sounds. the way you've mixed this and in this genre the Session Drummer works quite well, but I think you could bump it up a notch by adding Superior Drummer to your arsenal. Superior is a fantastic drum synth and has a lot of tweakable controls to it. check it out - you won't be disappointed! again - really good mixing work, I'm quite impressed with your talent and mixing!
