clean install question for upgraders?

hi all,

quick question as i do semi annual clean installs of my computer (w7 pro 64 bit 12gbs mem, i-940 etc.... separate drives for data, caches etc, as i do lots of photography with my Nikon D700) and while some software does require i start from first version and upgrade over the top it is maybe one piece of software as most will allow a full version install with proper serial number and registration taking place.

does Sonar allow this with X1 Essentials?
so when i do a clean install and put in reg code and my serial i can just run with it as opposed to going from 8.5 lite which is what i had prior.
all the sonar started from version6 le which was tied to "Xonar" version from asus sound card a D2X. the $9.99 upgrade to 8.5 lite ayear or 2 back allowed it to be a "standalone" version.

hope i am not to confusing after a long night but while i have been going back and forth with ableton 8 i have recieved emails from cakewalk offering me a just for fun user upgrade paths for $79... until yesterday which let me buy it for $59 which was a no brainer.

thanx

while the card has been around a while (what audio card hasn't been?) the bundle was great and when i had box built being a very early i-7 adopter the bundle was great.
a link of bundle at newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/ImageGallery.aspx?CurImage=29-132-005-S01&SCList=29-132-005-S01%2c29-132-005-S02%2c29-132-005-S03%2c29-132-005-S04%2c29-132-005-S05%2c29-132-005-S06%2c29-132-005-S07%2c29-132-005-S08%2c29-132-005-S09&S7ImageFlag=2&Item=N82E16829132005&Depa=0&WaterMark=1&Description=ASUS%20Xonar%20D2X%207.1%20Channels%20PCI%20Express%20x1%20Interface%20Sound%20Card

other than selling my 6gbs of hyperX memory and grabbing 12gbs @1603 and adding an ssd to my velociraptors the machine is a stabile platform that i will dump once intels pops out the Z-68 (sounds like one of car offerings here at GM) while it isn't a "DAW" it was built for my photography and once a friend showed me what he could do with good audio software my eyes got wide as my wallet got thinner, nothing better than making music.
great for the soul.... again thanx

Yes, you can just install SONAR X1 Essentials.
