Everything sounds great except I'm sorry, dude, it's a "no." You are not going to Hollywood (American Idol reference). The production is great but you're singing is here and there. If you plan to listen to this in your car a lot I would find someone who could really do the vocals to this tune justice and have them finish it up on your mix.

About the song...I think it sounds fine.....the Piano seems a little rough....could be a little more fluid sounding. I would knock down the reverb, also. The song sounds pretty good when the "band" kicks in.

Hee hee...maybe I leaned on the vocals to hard, which you had already said you weren't keen on. The rest of the track sounds great, though! It's inspired me to dig that CD out of the box and give it another listen. I think your mix is nearly a dead ringer for the original.

I don't mind it - but the bass line is REALLY bugging me. I think the verse is out of whack, where you play D > F > F > C, it should be D > Bb > F > C... other than that - nice work! Cheers, AZ

Cheers, AZ I too was bothered by that and by one other thing; The singer should be singing an A, not a Bb over the Bb (for the Bb M7 sound) chord during the verse. Other than those two things, I thought was a pretty solid cover. Thanks,
