color blindness problem

This color scheme in the command center is great unless you are color blind or partially color blind like I am.  In my case red and green look alike. I much rather it stated installed or upgrade available.  This should happen after the Command Center scans your HD for Cakewalk products

The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better.

Very very good point.  So simple to use a language, "installed" "updated" "available".   When there are acres of pixels available in a typical installation.

Developers these days seem to think it's cool to use just icons. I have no color blindness issue, but prefer to see "installed" "updated" and "available" instead. So simple and easy to understand.

I went Go-Carting with friends for a stag do, and they asked if their was anyone with colour blindness, the stag confessed he did, with Green and Red. Just a bit of an issue with stop and go.

Maybe if they want to keep the icons for prettyfication reasons and description box could popo up when you hover over them, saying  "installed", "updated", and "available".

It's an old UI law. Red and green should never been seen. Around 10% of males are color blind.

I am not completely color blind but I have color perception problem (for "normal" people, think about distinguishing colors in the dark environment). In most cases I have no problems, but in particular cases I have no way to see the difference. And CW CC is one of such exceptions (what is "upgradable" and what is "up to date").

Note that the fix is rather simple. Who does not see colors well is normally has better sense of lumi level. Make colors the way it is possible to  distinguish them after the color information is removed. Take a screen shot and convert it to grayscale based on lightness (but better test other methods as well) to see what I mean.
