Hi. It should be easy if using the Mercury Theme. Move your mouse to the left of the track until it reads Track Color and left click, and choose color. All the best.

I generally don't try to help people who are so dismissive, but here's your sign.

I got the same vibe from him as well, but I don't think he means any disrespect, this is his normal replies. I don't mean that in any bad way either. Its just I have also felt the same way when answering his comments, but he explained to me in one post he meant no disrespect. Everyone is different. With that being said, I stopped replying on his questions a while ago. We are all different as people, some of us are grateful that others take the time to help us in any problem we may have, others take that for granite. And then there's some who are just not as aware of it at all. Not sure where this falls.

Highlight the clip in the songs timeline ..to the left where you see where it says clip in the track inspector hit that ...you will find a drop down menu Where I circled in red will give you the option to change your clips colors for both the foreground and the background hope that helps Kenny

Actually this helped me quite a bit. I didn't realize the theme needed to be set to 'Mercury' before you could change the track colors like this. Unknowingly I had mine set to the 'Tungsten.' So why can they be changed in 'Mercury,' but not in 'Tungsten?' Or perhaps I am just missing something.

Track color changes were introduced in X3. Unfortunately, the theme feature is not compatible with the track color feature. Mercury is not a theme in the same sense as Tungten. Mercury is the original resource file used by SONAR. Tungsten and all the user created themes are modifications to Mercury.

^^^ AND... all custom themes (Tungsten & 3rd party) are stored and accessed outside of Sonar's operational files so it can't manipulate them in the same manner it does Mercury. It's also possible (tho highly speculative on my part) that custom themes overlap the Mercury theme, covering it up, making it more difficult for Sonar to manipulate them. Even so, it has been mentioned in the past that colorization of custom theme tracks may be possible in the future.
