control one...control all .Craig A? Your previosly suggested/mentioned feature gone??
It used to be if you held "CTrL"... and moved a fader, it would move them all. Same for any adjustment. It would change ALL tracks. Useful for common settings like the console emulator, turning it on/off, etc. Numerous other things. But...it doesn't seem to work anymore. Did it change?

I believe you have to select the tracks you want control of...(highlight them) ...holding shift?...and if CTrl is not the key that does, shift reheld and select the button/effect,task, you want all to tracks selected be effected, on tracks selected...should work....Right? I am not using Sonar at this time,...so, ..?

Previously needing to select tracks was not required It was global...so you could make the change to all existing tracks WITHOUT a " select all " step. I used it for faders, pro channel on/off, etc

Yeah I noticed this too with 2017.06, but I couldn't remember how it was supposed to work. But the manual keeps talking about if you have nothing selected everything moves with the quick group and I couldn't get that to work.

I use it on faders myself, but didn't think it worked for things like pro channel. Does CNTRL/select none faders still work ?

It worked on basically everything. If I wanted to pull all the faders back a bit you could. Of you wanted to adjust the console emulators....either type, drive you could. Turn off all EQ in the pro channel..etc. However it did not affect/change the busses.
This is a greatly missed feature. I learned about it from Craig A in a thread, so maybe he'll read this too?

So the CNTRL/select doesn't work on faders anymore ? You are correct, it does not

Probably does. Not at the computer now I believe you used to just hold cntr and a change on one track changed all tracks the same way. Maybe cntr +A is the new procedure

I noticed that change within an hour of installing the update. I just thought "good, it's about time" and moved on. If you thought losing that feature was a bad thing, then you've never moved 50 faders by accident.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

Nope, you need to at the very least quick group a bunch of tracks, THEN used ctrl to adjust the relevant control. Same applies to busses

No but I've altered 497 MIDI notes to only have to go back in my history to find and correct. 😄

This extra step is fine, but I put it in the category of software prompts; "are you sure" My hands aren't mischievously laying on my keyboard waiting to do harm, unlike unknowingly selecting all the MIDI notes in PRV.

Same applies to busses We used to able to: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X2&language=3&help=Mixing.53.html To adjust the same control in all tracks. Hold down the CTRL key and adjust a control in a track that is not selected. SONAR automatically adjusts the same control in all other tracks. I believe this was introduced in Sonar X2. Not sure though. not working here either.

I just tried what the OP claimed with X3 as it's still here and: 1. Yep holding CTRL down while you tweak a widget controls all the widgets of the same type grouped or not. 2. I wish I had known no, remembered to use his before. 3. Cakewalk better put this back or the cat gets it.

It is likely a bug and associated with other recently reported quick group issues introduced when multi-touch features were updated. That or the "To use a Quick Group" section in https://www.cakewalk.com/...mp;help=Mixing.45.html needs updating. While inconvenient, I would not expect an update to 2017.06 to fix it. Hopefully the feature will return in 2017.07.

There's more! I just rolled back to the January 21 2017 version. It WORKS! So they broke it or took it away and gave us a limiter - I dunno. CAKE!! HELLLP! This just in. The May 2017 version works too. I'll take it to the Problem Report forum.

It may be by design, in which case all the help files are wrong and need to be updated. They also should have mentioned it in the release notes. If it's not by design, they should look into fixing it. But I doubt it will be a high priority. They do need at patch update though to fix all these click testing DPI issues that have suddenly appeared starting in 2017.05. It doesn't effect me, but it sounds like something that should be fixed. This quick group problem, I could see them wait till next month to address it.

Didn't they just recently add the quick group feature that allows for "any" controls in multiple tracks to be controlled simultaneously provided "cntl" is pressed, including effects parameters, as long as the tracks are all selected? With that new functionality in place - if pressing "cntl" and moving a fader WITHOUT the tracks all being selected (essentially what quick group does is select multiple tracks) moves ALL the faders - wouldn't that be counter to the new functionality of quick grouping?

PLEASE RETURN THE FEATURE AS I AM ASSUMING ITS A BUG. CAN'T EVEN CHANGE COLORS OF MULTIPLE TRACKS HOLDING DOWN CNTRL. Sure... We've all made the mistake of accidentally doing something unintended to all selected tracks but that is not a reason to remove the feature so again, please fix Also... I no longer can adjust all gloss EQ HPF on a group of channels. While some things do still work, many other grouping things don't
