controlling external midi source

ok so recorded a piano part in sonar in midi, now i want it to be fed out into my keyboard and have the midi in sonar trigger my keyboard, i have it set on the same channel and it wont trigger my keyboard for some reason, any sugestions?

oh also im using a soundblaster livedrive

    mid out drivers highlighed in sonar for your device?

    device in midi receive mode. oh and what keyboard are you using if it's just a plain midi keyboard, forget it. if it's a synth, then it should work if the midi in cable is connected.
