converting text to INS

Hi all... Well after a lot of research I finally found a TD-6 drum patch list as a txt file. Can anyone advise me on how I convert that into an INS file? I've tried to find a converter on the internet, but no luck so far!

    Instrument definition files are text files. Open one up and you can see how to convert your patch list into an INS file.

    Hi scook. I know the INS is a txt file as I've had a look at the list, but I must be thick or something, 'cos I can't see how to convert the txt patch list to an INS file format which HS6 needs to be able to understand. I've put a bit of it below, can you tell me what I should be doing next??? Here's some info I have:

    INS files are just text files that contain patch lists for your instrument. For example:
    ; ---------------------------  (A semicolon at the start indicates this is a comment.)
    .Patch Names         (This line tells CW that lists of patch names follow)
    [Korg 03R/W Bank A]  (The info in brackets describes the instrument)
    0=Ephemerals            (Each line following is the Patch# and Patch name)
    1=Analog Pad
    2=Orch Brass
    3=Galaxies
    4=RosewoodGt
    5=VS Bells

    and so on.

    You don't have to convert the ID text file, just Import the definition.
    Details in the Help file.
    It's easy.

    Hi Daveny and 57Gregy...sorry for the late reply - been injured! - but thank you both for your input. Daveny put me straight on the format for the character recognistion. The Txt file I had needed some "word processing" to get rid of the unwanted text, but I guess if the characters weren't recognised by HS6 it would have ignored them anyway. Anyway thanks again guys, I do feel de-mystified now!
