copies of project with "~" and the date...

hi everyone,

so i'm trying to cleanup my projects folder which is insane in size right now... i'm noticing lots of copies of some of my songs with after the file name it has for example ".cwp~"and then the date. i'm guessing these are autosaves that happened after sonar crashed. am i right? if so then i'm cool to just delete them all. can i get some confirmation on that? searching for ~ messes up any search i try to do on this question haha.

    Those are backups of saves.
    Yes you delete them safely.
    I have Sonar to keep 10 backups in case I have to back-track.

    awesome thank you. i already make separate saves (version 1, version 2, etc) so it's kind of redundant to keep these backups, at least for songs i'm not longer working on. newer stuff i'll hold on to them for now just in case.

    haha i've been spending the last 8 hours cleaning, organizing, erasing duplicates... got stumped on what those files were so getting a straight answer was definitely helpful. you rule.

    now i'm gonna take a nap and finish tomorrow. my eyes hurt.
