copy and paste

Simple question:

I was watching the snap feature Sonar video. The guy was copying and pasting simply by dragging the clip and letting go. Im still right clicking and selecting or pressing control c then control v. How do I do this drag and drop copy and paste?

    Hold the Control (CTRL) key ..without it you just MOVE the clip.
