copying clip from one take lane to another

I can copy clips from one MIDI track to another, but I cannot figure out how to copy a MIDI clip from one MIDI take lane to another (both take lanes in the same track). I checked the documentation, but the best that I can find is how to drag/move a clip from one take lane to another, which is not what I need.

any advice?

thanks

Keith

    It's Ctrl+Shift+drag.

I wonder why the "typical" select-copy-paste operation does not work in this case? Is this by design, or by oversight of development teams who don't talk to each other?

By oversight, I think. I'm expecting the whole Take Lanes feature to be dramatically improved in X3.
