copy/paste buss envelope

I'm trying to copy/paste a buss output volume envelope.

I select the buss, change the edit filter to output volume, and copy special.
Select the destination buss and paste special. And nada.
Is there another way to make this work?

Kinda goofy solution, but

1. create a blank audio track
2. select all in the bus and paste it to the audio track (make sure now time is at the start
3. select all from the audio track and paste it to the new bus.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Thanks Geoff.  I tried this and instead of copying, it moved the envelope to the destination buss.

IOW - I copied the buss envelope, and pasted it into an audio track (its then in the origin buss and the
audio track). I then copied the envelope in the audio track and pasted it into the destination buss.
It then appeared in the destination buss, but disappeared from the origin buss.

Is this some known SONAR problem?

Interesting. For me, it did not disappear from the origin bus. Any chance you used cut instead of copy?

Try this
Open the source bus automation lanes
Click just above the - to the left of the "R" in the far left of automation lane strip to highlight the the automation data
Right-click in the automation data and select copy
Open the target bus automation lanes
If the bus automation lane does not exist create it
Right-click in the target lane and paste
