crackles, pops in X3

So, I just went from X2 to X3d this week and immediately started having problems during recording sessions as far as X3 crackling and popping while recording. I'm recording 16 tracks simultaneously with my ASIO slider set to 4 (96 samples). This gives me 11.4 latency, which is about the lowest I can get away with without clients complaining about a delay in their headphone mixes. The thing that seems odd is that I don't have this problem in X2. I have both installed on my computer, so I can use either one. I checked all the settings I think are relevant in my preferences for X3 and they are set the same as X2. When I set my ASIO slider to 5, I get 18.6 latency, but almost no pops and crackles, although it seems like there may have been a couple in yesterday's session. Anyone have any thoughts on this. I will likely call tech support tomorrow and see what they say, just wondered if anyone here had similar issues and how I might overcome them.

Thanks

double check the bit depth of the files you are writing.

File > Audio Data > Record Bit Depth

Here's you just want to make sure it isn't set to 32 bit.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

What sample rate are you running at?

By the way, I do not believe there are any devices currently in production that record in 32-bit depth.

My settings are in my signature, if that helps.

Also, what are your Playback I/O Buffer and Recording I/O Buffer sizes set to in X3d?  If they are at the default (250 or 256), try 500 k or 512 k.

And, please forgive the silly question - you are running with ASIO driver mode and your Sonar audio device is your audio interface, and not ASIO4ALL?

If there is a "refresh" etc option
on your soundcard driver/ software ?If yes, try that.

Try increasing your In/Out Buffers to 512, then.
