ctrl+G shortcut

I have started going through the Garrigus x1 book and was looking at the now time info.
It says that Shift G will set the now time to the start of a selection and
Ctrl G will set the now time to the end of a selection.  The Sonar x1 reference guide also says the same thing.

I selected some data and the Shift G works, but Ctrl G gives me an error message: "No event found matching your search criteria"

I am using sonar x1D expanded and the help file for Keyboard shortcuts DOES NOT have Ctrl G listed.

I went and checked my 8.5 version and selected data and the f7/f8 seems to work.

Is ctrl G obsolete now? (I am not sure if I would ever use this much anyway but I am just trying to learn here).

Same thing happened to me when i got to that section in Digifreq's book

the key binding for CTRL+G in SONAR X1 is assigned by mistake to 'Search Next', which is the reason you get that message

you need to go into Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts and bind CTRL+G to 'Go to Thru' in the functions list for Global Bindings to fix, you might want to then bind another key/key combo to the 'Search Next' function

Thanks Tweakberry.

I wonder if that was by design or an accident.
