The questions aren't stupid, Ryan, but you're asking them in the wrong forum. You should post the question in either the SONAR forum or Guitar Tracks forum (but not both). This forum is for developers of software that work with Cakewalk apps.

Based upon what you've noted here, you'll probably be happier with SONAR. It's more flexible for recording and mixing.

SONAR Platinum ▪ NI Komplete, Korg DLC, Arturia V5 Collection, Dimension Pro, IK Multimedia & other synths ▪ Les Paul, Peavey and Yamaha guitars. Listen to some of my stuff here: https://soundcloud.com/shadowsoflife . Comments from other SONAR users are always welcome!

    Bill,

Are you a Home Studio User or a Sonar user?
