dimension pro 1.5 installation issues

I just recently purchased the downloadable upgrade from cakewalk for sonar x1 producer and instead of installing dimension pro I just installed the update from 1.2 to 1.5. Now when I try to install the additional content it tells me i don't have 1.5 installed. I tried it a few times and got the same issue so i decided to just uninstall dimension pro and install the whole 1.5 that came packaged. Well now when I try that it tells me I already have it installed, but when I try to install the additional content again it says I don't have anything installed. Sorry if that all seems jumbled, please help me because it took a whole night to just download and it's been 2 days since i've been able to do anything. Thanks

i appreciate the link, but my issue is a little different, i already uninstalled dimension pro, i'm trying to now reinstall and i'm currently out of town so i don't have access to my discs to reinstall dimension pro. The downloads are suppost to come with a full 1.5 install (aren't they?) and that's what i'm trying to access, but i can't because it says it's already installed.

I inadvertently installed the 1.2 DXI and also updated to 1.5 which does not do DXI.  The standalone ran 1.5 and the plugin in Sonar only saw 1.2.  For some reason, after installing 1.5, the uninstaller for Dimension disappeared all together, from the app itself and from the Windows.  I installed 1.2 again and got back the uninstaller, I uninstalled it, then reinstalled 1.5 from the download.  That got me straight.

Ok I had success with the reg edit appoach as in the link. Additional content includes

note: i did uninstall first using windows uninstaller

alright, i have completely uninstalled all of my sonar/cakewalk programs in hopes it was detecting something from there, i removed 8.5 completley, and it still will not allow me to install dimension pro stating that it is already installed, this is driving me crazy someone please help...

thanks, i'll try that in the morning, i'm now back home with all my discs and stuff so i can try it now, i was gettin frustrated with trying to find another way to do it w/o the discs (or going into that editor thing that i really didn't wanna mess with), appreciate the help.
