dimension pro vs rapture full

Hello,

Anyone own the full version of rapture and dimension pro?
I am a big fan of these two soft synths.

I have the LE version of both and am considering purchasing one or the other and would like to know the main differences of full versions.
Basically i am after variety of sounds in the sound effects/noises and to a lesser effect the insturments themselves

Well dimension pro is more of a sampler/rompler and rapture is more of a synth. There is a demo of rapture you can try. If you want sampled intruments like piano, guitar and bass get dimension pro and if you want synth sounds get rapture.....hope that helps!!! I have both and i love them.

    Rapture is excellent for synthesis.

Dimension Pro is great at sample playback.

You you state that you are after a variety of sound effects/noises and to a lesser effect the instruments themselves I would say perhaps you would be better served by Rapture.

    +1 for Rapture.

    It's become my main synth.

You don't uninstall the LE version either... the two become seperate things.
So, in Sonar I can still use Rapture LE as a totally seperate synth from Rapture Full. But both have access to all the same presets.
Obviously the full can do more with those presets than the LE can.

I use Rapt more - it is more of a "synth" as said above.  However, DimPro has some excellent soundscapes for weirdness sake.  More like orchestra stuff, legitti style.

Just to make the decision harder - ;-)
