does z3ta 2 import midi files?

> does it import them in easy way, or does it require file conversion?

> is it possible to keep the midi file playing while changing presets?

It imports it as a midi file so that must be the easy way.
The midi pattern is part of a patch so changing the patch will leave the pattern behind. You could have the midi pattern as a loop in your sequencer and go through patches and see how it works with each patch - I would avoid the arp and sequencer patches though .

    Grum.

I was hoping to be able to hold the midi pattern while switching patches.

This would have let me experiment with:

    > experimenting to find killer patches to go with my midi loops (which as you say, we can already do)

    > jazzing it up with interesting keyboard stutter loop effects - live (the cool bit ... duh)

Never mind. We live in hope.

But thanks for coming back, Grum.
