dropouts

im getting dropouts and popping noises during playback wat could it be?

    poppings poises, shuttering, time seems to stop and start im lost.

    Yes...by all means keep the post on a topic confined to one thread.... very confusing and difficult to help you when dealing with mulitple threads on a topic....

    please post your computer specs, and most important...the sound card.

    just guessing... from the discription.... sounds like sound card problems.... laptop soundcard from the factory...right?

    laptop factory cards are not designed to work well with recording software like cakewalk platforms. The platform requires way more than the card can deliver, and as a result you have click, pops, and dropouts. The solution is a specialized soundcard that can handle the loads.... check beagle's website for some ideas and a comparison chart.
