drum editing question

im really new to sonar so sorry if i sound inexperienced.

i have 6 drum tracks my friend recorded and its off on a lot of spots. the double bass is the biggest problem. i try just to move them around but you can still hear the messed up hits on the other tracks. you hear the fixed and the messed up track at the same time. i am reading stuff about audiosnap but have no idea how to use it.

so i guess my main question is how do i fix one drum track without the others picking up messed up one?

sorry if it is confusing.

Audio snap is the correct tool to use and there are some great videos on audio snap to help you learn it.

    Watch these

If you dont want to learn audio snap, you can cut the drum hits manually and move each one manually. Thats if there not live drums, because youll get phase form the overhead mics. This is only good for sampled drums.

Sounds like you are suffering from some mic bleed.

Audio snap will do nothing for a drum track with bleed issues.

I suggest trying to use a gate to try to eliminate some of the bleed.

Just about all you can do is use samples for the kick and hope it isn't in the other mics to the point it is a problem. It is usually pretty easy to get the kick out of the other tracks, but YMMV
