The price is fair & the quality should be good. Right now an orchestral mangler isn't a priority. I'll wait a bit longer, check user comments & listen to some more demos.

yes, the moviedrone section is exactly what I was hoping for...and I expect a lot more of this to roll out over time.  If you want to take some of the finest orchestral sampling in a new direction, "earth" is a great place to start!  Unlike Sample Logic, which seems to get off on destroying the instruments as they sample, Spitfire is artfully modulating and repitching their sounds...and I like this much better...
 
The vids don't begin to do eDNA justice... was thinking of waiting after watching them then just bit the bullet, with all the Spitfire story they were laying out (they really care and shared such a compelling vision....)... and anything focusing on "earth".... and then, v.i. control discussions...it became a WTF moment for me...after all the garbage I've acquired over the years.... took hours to download; fell asleep, woke up and jizzed my pants....
 
I can honestly say, after investing every spare penny which comes my way in these tools...for a bunch of years... it blows the "value" and "unique" doors wide open...and for literally pennies....
 
"earth" is all the cartridges and more.... haven't begun to figure out all the "more" yet as just got off work. Spent hours diddling through sounds last night, worked in some zayneee warped orchestrals into a song, and was giddy all day while gardening... Plus, updates are always hugely significant with these folk...Indeed, their philosophy is to give the price break to the early birds, who feed them the info needed to fix/improve for the rest of us...

it's not downloadable yet.  Christian says he's been up for weeks working on this and the other things and it's still being refined... I haven't spent time with it yet... might wanna peruse v.i. control talk... was interesting yesterday:

personally I have some orchestral learning/songwriting to do... gosh, I love the emotion this stuff lends to some of the climate stuff I'm working on...hiphop/emo/rock with Albion! lots of work to do to get it down tho!  Will make sure to at "earth"yness to each night's learning adventure!

mainly I'm waiting for the improved browser/tagging promised for 1.1  With such a huge instrument/soundset and with the endless tweaks, a good commenting/tagging/filtering/searching section is critical or we waste too much valuable time wading through the billion patches and trying to find things becomes exhausting...
 
They've already spent weeks physically tagging the sounds... eagerly await a flexible power browser system!

exact ... i'm gonna , for being able to use it at full potential, to have another creative approch in structure ...
Usually i work in a 8 bars or 4bars redundonce and structure ..
 
With this one i'm gonna do it the old school way , like live at least 16 bars , HOOk then ..and again ....
 
The last section you click and the tools icons to go on the sample keyaborad layout and drag your own samples ...it worked for me ...so nice to have the inerface to tweak your own ....thing ...
 
This thing is worth every $ ....still to many sounds to manage in this "ms dos" browser !!
