earlier and rushed midi/softsynth playback when recorded on time

Hi guys, I've been running into a weird issue for some time now. - Any midi/softsynth part I record on time plays back slightly earlier than the audio used during the recording (an audio loop for example) - While performing the part (and recording the mididata) everything feels right and in place. It's only when I play back the performance that the issue is audible. -When recording on time, midipart feels rushed, and when playing laidback, midipart feels, well... on time! This is all regardless of plugin load or project size - My workaround has been to delay the recorded midi clips by the reported asio latency given in Audio Options (in my case, around 16ms), but this is really killing workflow, any help by the sonar geniuses would be apreciated ADK workstation, Win64, RMEFF800, Sonar8.5.3

What is your project sample rate? Is it the same as the sample rate for the audio loops? Are your Playback/Record Timing Masters on the same audio device?

    44.1

    yup, same audio device.

I've seen people around here with the same issue, the "back in time" midi playback" thing

since it's not really possible, what's probably happening is that softsynth playback has some kind of priority
over audio playback, and audio playback comes a few milliseconds later, and even 15ms of constant delay
is very detrimental to the groove perception

whatever the case this is so detrimental to the workflow to have to manually slide stuff to get a non robotic groove going...
and it might not even be related only to Sonar, maybe other daws too BUT I'll say this : today I understand why so many urban music (groove oriented music) producers and superproducers use computers only as sound modules, and rely only on external sequencer to have everything
    moving in an organic fashion

In your Options>Audio>Advanced tab, in the lower left hand corner, is there a number other than 0 in the Manual Offset box?

In the same window, is there any number other than 0 in the  Timing Offset box?

thnx for the suggestion chappel, I'm familiar with all those options but the culprit seems to be something different -

    found this also -
